“People on the Spectrum…[insert ableist rhetoric here]…”

“People on the autism spectrum are limited in their ability to comprehend, or care about, the emotions and motives of other people. But they are intensely interested in how certain things work. Their brains, he says, are wired to “systemize,” or to pick out patterns in information and to discern the logical rules that govern systems.” – Simon Baron-Cohen, PhD, a psychology professor and director of the Autism Research Centre at the University of Cambridge, England.

Ever wonder why this shitty society doesn’t want us involved?

We are like “Quality Control” trying to shut down the societal “factory” of “broken” intellect and “mislabeled” truth.

Employee: “Yeah it’s fast, it’s cheap, it’s running like water. Did you hear what I said? It’s all contaminated.”
Employer: “You’re fired… and we need you to sign this confidentiality waiver. Don’t make us call security.”

I must say, it seems we have completely done away with humane “resources” altogether.

Hypothetically, of course.

What if there were no… veterans?
What if they weren’t sent to die for “ideals” you are told you have… because you live in this country?
What if nobody needed to kill your neighbor… for you?
What if you might have liked that guy that just got blown up… “for your protection”?
What if you were guilty by allowing it… through silence and willful ignorance?
What if you were as guilty as the guy you pay to do your dirty work… so you can keep your hands clean?
What if you’re never going to be safe… as long as you can pay someone to kill for you?
What if this stopped being hypothetical… three sentences ago?

Our Theme Song

This is a “Virtual Autistic Community” where we hope to organize a collective discussion on the societal effects of various national issues, including, but not limited to, police brutality, policing for profit, political corruption, lack of accountability for public servants, lack of services/employers and these issues direct/indirect consequences within the Autistic community. As well as, “Autistic Solutions” to these very obvious problems.
